Alaknanda prides herself in being an Economics and Chemical Engineering major from the University of Texas at Austin. She had a ball of a time in college, getting an international perspective to life, politics, and all things wonderful. Her best life experiences so far have been her internship with Earth Institute (Jeffrey Sachs fame), a wonderful month-long, shoe-string budget trip to Europe, and sky-diving from 10,000 ft.

She has seen Grassroutes grow since its inception, admired the people who brought it this far, and decided she wanted to be part of the cult. She brings to the table her favourite pastimes - reading and writing.

She is always all ears for people with a killer sense of humour and/or people capable of versatile, intellectual conversation. Oh, she also promises never to turn down a cup of coffee!
