REPAINT THE OLD STROKES

It was time for the kids to repaint their school and hence those empty racks.

HERE WE ARE
The curriculum helps them analyze everything first hand in the best way with the limited resources they have. A snap shot from the Geography class at Bala Mitra.

THE MOURYA’s
Pointing at the vast Mouryan empire during times of Ashoka the great.

A SHINE
The Waldorf mode of education is a practice rarely found in the Indian sub-continent. It provides the children with a stress-free learning environment, where they are given the choice to ‘think’.

AIDES TO TEACH
Innovative add ons used in teaching make the learning process a breeze.

STORIES TOLD
The books also teach how to put forward a story, thereby helping the teacher make it more interesting for the young minds.

ONE – THREE – FIVE
The logic games bring more fun to numbers.

EXPECT MORE
There would possibly be no issue of optimum… they know only the maxima.

ALL IN THOSE LINEA
The way Anna, a German volunteer at Bala Mitra told the kids a story about her village through a cartoon book, surprised us.

FORTY STRONG
The road map to all schools in the Visakha tribal belt, that come under the Bala Mitra initiative of Samata.

LEARN TO TEACH
The forty schools under the Bala Mitra program have a resource sharing session, once in three months. The leaf in the chart, made as a part of the session is of the ‘Neredu’ plant as the locals call it.

CREATIVE WE ARE
Various creative works, the kids have completed as a part of their learning process adorn the walls of the school.

EASTER EGGS!
It’s hard to miss those beautiful painted egg shells that hang from the middle of the roof.

LESS EXPLOIT
The kids are trained in creative arts and life skills that are not at the cost of mother earth. The musings that came out of their hearts during our interaction showed how much they belong there.

At the end of the day, we so wished it was the place where we went for school :)
